# Sell Wands

Crate-only wands that sell a whole chest in one right-click, with a bonus on top

A sell wand sells the entire contents of a chest in one right-click, and pays a bonus on top of the normal shop price.

## How to use one

Hold the wand and right-click a chest. Every sellable item in that chest is sold instantly and the money goes straight to your balance. You get a chat message telling you how many item stacks were sold, the total paid, and how many uses the wand has left.

{% hint style="warning" %}
Only chests work. Barrels, shulker boxes, hoppers, and other containers aren't supported.
{% endhint %}

## What gets sold

Every slot in the chest is checked against the shop. Anything with a sell price is sold and removed. Anything with no sell price is left untouched in the chest - so you can safely keep non-sellable items in the same chest, the wand simply skips them. If nothing in the chest is sellable, nothing is taken and you're told so.

## The three wand types

| Wand  | Item       | Bonus  | Uses |
| ----- | ---------- | ------ | ---- |
| Basic | Stick      | None   | 30   |
| Event | Breeze Rod | Small  | 10   |
| Gold  | Blaze Rod  | Larger | 15   |

The Basic wand has no sell bonus at all - it's a convenience item, not an income upgrade. Its value is speed: one right-click empties and sells a whole chest at normal shop prices, and it has by far the most uses.

The Event and Gold wands trade uses for bonus. The Gold wand pays the most per sale but has fewer uses than the Basic.

{% hint style="info" %}
Each wand's exact bonus is written on the item itself, in its lore. Bonus figures aren't listed here since they can be retuned - read the wand in your hand for the current number.
{% endhint %}

## The bonus, and how it stacks

Each wand type has its own multiplier applied to the total sale. The important detail: the wand bonus applies **on top of** your existing sell multiplier, not instead of it. The shop first works out your personal price - including your permanent prestige or Freeman+ sell bonus - and then the wand multiplies that total. See [Shop, Selling, and Auction House](/chunkedworld/economy/shop-selling-and-auction-house.md) for how those multipliers work.

The two multiply together rather than adding, so the same wand is worth noticeably more to a high-rank player than to a new one.

## Uses

All three wand types have limited uses - none are unlimited. A wand loses one use per chest sold, regardless of how many items were in that chest. Selling a chest with 27 stacks costs exactly the same single use as selling one with 1 stack, so always fill a chest before using a wand.

When a limited wand runs out it's removed from your inventory, and attempting to use a spent wand tells you it has no uses left rather than silently doing nothing.

## Wands and spawner farms

Sell wands pair naturally with [spawner](/chunkedworld/economy/spawners.md) farms. If your farm funnels drops into a collection chest, one right-click empties and sells the whole thing. For a limited-use wand this is the most efficient possible use - let the chest fill completely, then spend a single use on the full load.

## How to get one

Sell wands are [crate](/chunkedworld/crates-and-keys/crates-and-keys.md) rewards only. They can't be crafted, can't be bought from the shop, and aren't sold on the store - winning one from a crate is the only way to get a wand. Because of that, treat a wand as a consumable windfall rather than a permanent upgrade, worth saving for a full chest rather than spending on a half-empty one.

## Notes

* Each wand type is a different item, so you can tell them apart at a glance: Basic is a stick, Event a breeze rod, Gold a blaze rod. The lore confirms the bonus and remaining uses.
* The wand is identified by hidden item data, not by its name or lore. Renaming a wand doesn't break it, and naming a normal item after a wand doesn't create one.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://chunkedworld.gitbook.io/chunkedworld/economy/sell-wands.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
